Details make me curious. Just as curious as a broad frame, in which the background and the subject become an abrasive whole.
A detail takes you to the core, the origin of creation. I am also moved by it. When I listen to a recording, it’s the unpolished nano moments that make it exciting for me. The tiny drummer, in the form of an unintentional grating on a singer or trumpet player, the sound of nails on a string, or the hammers of the piano.
With an artwork it is the stratification in the detail that appeals to me. That which is intended to be part of the whole becomes a whole in itself. It is no wonder that quantum physics fascinates me.
The contradictory broad framework also implies this. The pixels that form in contrast merge into a new world. It is constantly happening in us and around us. I see art as one of the manifestations of this process.
This butterfly, caught in a demolition house, appeals to the imagination even more by the contrast.
